Outside the International Mugello Track, is very interestin a visit in Scarperia, one of the most wonderful Medieval town of Tuscany, it is famous worldwide for its knifes handcraft still handmade.
Scarperia was founded in 1306 as outpost of the Florentine Republic, surrounded by ancient walls it developed during centuries the handmade knifes art, inside the Vicari Palace, also current seat of the Municipality, there is the Museum of the Knifes, where you can retrace all handcraft history, is possible to buy one of these little handmade“masterpiece” in the shop in the center.
